Unvulcanized rubber waste mixture
Other smaller rubber processing companies can use
treated (vulcanized) mixture. They can produce other products from that
material, e.g. rubber carpet, rubber band, cable crossing.
This solution generally is not the interest of the
company because generally the tyre manufacturers are afraid that their patent
recipe will be “stolen”. But the small rubber processing companies need only
cheaper raw materials and they do not want to analyze the mixture: it would be
hard and expensive for them. Long term cooperation and partnership resulting in
cheaper inputs is more valuable for them.

company is afraid that this will be “stolen”.

According to the rubber industry expert, this waste
mixture is the worst type of rubber waste because it is not vulcanized. Some
cases – if the blend could not be corrected - the companies do not spend extra
money to vulcanize the “waste” they just would like to get rid of this. If we could reduce this kind of waste, it
would be environmentally significant result - less stable structure.
