Name of waste, physical-chemical properties, other important information describe the flow
Multipolymer waste generated in production and recycling processes. Not homogenous material. The materials, where it’s very difficult to recovery individual polymers to process them and to produce regranulate. Different physical-chemical properties, different composition of the polymers.

Production process, what inputs influence the process

There are two main flows of the wastes:
First one: the multipolymer waste generated in different industries. Composition of the waste depends of the destination of the original product:
- Packaging elements,
- Construction elements,
- Textile elements,
- Sellotapes,
- Equipment.
Second one: waste generated in the recycling process, on the sorting line. Recycling process demand pure fraction of input (e.g. PVC, PP, PE, PS). The incoming volume are composed with pure elements, but ab. 10-15% are multipolymer material. Recycling technology do not accept such the input, it is rest fraction.

Shape, form, structure of waste

Mixed fraction, unprofitable to separate or select pure polimer fraction. Material to shredder (snippets, fragments, hosepipe, formats, packages, regrind, irregular shape).

Composition of waste

- PE waste
- PP waste fraction mixed with PS, PA, PC and elastomers

Current destination

The treatment of multipolymer waste are organized in two main ways:
- RDF production. RDF – alternative fuel, used in cement kiln. Process: shreddering, mixing, storage, transporting.
- Landfilling. Multipolymer waste goes directly to landfill.
